This morning I took the kids to an event hosted by FWP and Walleye's Unlimited in which the kids were taught a little about fishing. Because of the crowd I did not get pictures.
The first station was fish identification where the kids learned about different types of fish they may encounter and which ones to let go. They also learned of fishing ethics (ie. manners).
At the next station, we saw how to tie wolly bugger flies. All three kids were interested in the process of making them. They each recieved a free fly!
How to tie your hook was the third station, and the last station was casting. All 3 were able to cast successfully. At this point we went home as the wind was horrendous and the crowds to thick to cast safely.
This evening we had an impromptu science lesson when DH brought in a scorpion he found in the garage!

I feel so bad that we didn't connect today. I think it's probably you might of been in one of the stations when I walked through. I didn't check inside :( We missed you!! :)
