Easter

Easter Sunday...How I love the resurrection story. We went to First Southern Baptist Church in Great Falls. After a long search, I think this is where God is calling us to be.

We got there to find that Sunday School was canceled, instead, there was a wonderfully laid out pot luck breakfast. To bad we had already eaten. We caught up with some old friends from our old church and enjoyed catching up with them.

The Pastor James Moore gave a traditional Easter Sermon but in a way that I had not heard before. He talked of the promise of salvation as prophesied in the Old Testament then the fullfillment of prophecy in the New Testament. I really enjoyed the "different" take.

Nathan could not attend as he has been sick, (what a joy it will be when we are are healthy again!) So he stayed home with his mom (she doesn't attend church any more)

After church the kids opened their Easter Baskets, and had an egg hunt around the house (because of Nathan we held it indoors this year.) We think we might still be missing two eggs, but that has now become a traditon for us to.

Ashley cooked a wonderful turkey dinner for us. Somewhere along the line, she has become in charge of the holiday meals...fine with me, the kitchen is really to small for two adults to work in there.

After dinner, the kids played some more then ready for bed. Lacy has been working on getting her two bottom teeth out, so her Easter was complete when she came out of the bathroom holding her first tooth. How fun!

Happy Easter to all!
