Papa is helping the kids pull a rope attached to a weights system that will show how many miles you could travel in one day carrying the weight that Lewis and Clark and their party did. Only with Papa's help could they get above 3 miles a day.
Lacy and Christian looking at some of the artifacts. They liked the fact that they could touch them. Christian is looking at a toy used by indian children.
Lacy liked trying to bridle the horse. There is a chart that shows different ways to bridle a horse using just rope.
Lacy did not like seeing the beaver being skinned, but Nathan and Christian thought it was cool!!
Along with the beaver skinning and tour of the facility. The kids saw two newfoundlands, a breed of dog that was on the expidition. They had to walk by a "polar bear" without waking it. They "tested" to see if they could be voyagers on the expidition, and a group of huskys that were trained sled dogs pulling a ATV. The kids really had a wonderful time.
