Miracles Do Happen

This is my Great Uncle Earl and Great Aunt Hazel. In may my Uncle Earl turned 94!. He was in the hospital for that birthday after a fall he had broken his neck.
His prognosis at that time was dire, He spent months in the hospital and with the break was not able to swallow without aspirating. He was in and out of ICU a couple of times as his blood levels were going haywire, and ended up with a tracheotomy as well.
They were sorely missed at our family reunion, so we sent them some gifts from there, an itinerary, pictures, things people had made and such, and over the weekend my brother was able to deliver them. The reason it took so long is the doctors were making arrangements for Uncle Earl to go to a rehab closer to his home!
He is no longer tube fed, they are testing to be sure the trach can be removed, and now all he has to do is to build up some strength and he can go home....
The doctors were very honest in their prognosis and it looked like Uncle Earl was "going home" to see Jesus...Networking, we placed calls for prayer, churches, friends and family...God answered...what a mighty God we serve. My heart is filled with gratitude to Him. Now we are looking at doing another reunion next year (God willing) since these dear sweet people could not attend the one in Missoula. (we usually only hold them every other year)
Praise to God!
