Horton hears a who

Last night was Nathan's first sleep over...I don't know who was more nervous about him going, Me or him. He did fine. He spent the night with his friend Brandon, a counter part in cubscouts, to celebrate Brandon's 9th birthday. Nathan would not talk much about it, but I think he was way overtired.

Little brother Christian, however did not fair so well, he cried himself to sleep, he is a at a point in life that he does not like to be separated from his brother. Lacy was upset because we initially set her to bed in Nathan's bed to try to make is special for them, but neither were attempting nor even pretending to go to sleep. Lacy has her own room, so this was a true novelty to her.

Today we took the kids to see Horton hears a who, and we all really enjoyed it. I thought of this world as the kangaroo talks of "if you cannot see it it isn't real". How this is our worlds attitude toward God. Then the "who's" who don't "believe" in Horton, because he is "up in the air" but you cannot see him. The one who had faith in his reality saved his tiny little world. So much like the believers who hold faith in God. Because of our belief and love for Him, he promises in Proverbs that the righteous shall never be gone from the earth, and He promises the prayers of a righteous man avails much...Just one man's prayers. How incredible is our God!!!! I truly cannot fathom trying to get through life without Him.
