It is difficult to believe that it was 11 years ago that this precious boy was given to our family. I recall standing over him as he was in the hospital, we were not allowed to touch him, he was not allowed to eat. I prayed to God to grant healing as he was born with Strep B. I did not know much about this disease, but I did know that many babies died from it. God granted our request and yesterday he turned 11.

Mom came up and brought pizza for lunch (cheese and vegetable). She spoiled him with gifts.



The candles sparkled and he was having fun as they kept relighting. He had to blow them out 3-4 times.



His mom did a wonderful job on his cake. Usually the kids pick a cake and she does it, this time the birthday boy put her in a prediciment as he said "surprise me"...she did a great job.



We played twister, card games, helped put lego kits together and served Nathan one of his favorite meals of Chicken Spaghetti with fresh bread and monkey bread for dessert.

Despite being ill, mom stayed until the kids were all tucked in bed and sound asleep. This was enjoyed by all three.

Now we shall pray that God guard us from whatever illness she has, either a really severe cold or flu.
