3 in 30 For February

The challenge here is to pick 3 goals each month to complete. It has been said that after 21 days actions become habit. I have been reflecting on the goals for January and and really pleased with how they have worked out. I am excited about my goals for February...

My first is to continue Reading the Bible daily, no schedule, just Read. Today after my morning reading I am up to Deuteronomy 12 since the beginning of the year. I also want to continue my daily exercise. I am finding these go hand in hand. A friend of mine had posted on her blog a book called "Every Body Matters" and for those who need motivation towards "getting in shape" this book really puts a new perspective on it. As I read this book (the first time) I saw myself in so many of the chapters, and not in a way that is pleasing to God, nor good for my family. SO, I am re-reading this book at a slower pace, looking up bible verses, and writing notes. This will be part of my morning bible reading time.

My second goal for February. My youngest wants some homemade socks. I have started them but keep procrastinating. So my goal is to get these done for him, in conjunction with this I want to knit some for my dau and granddaughter. So...Getting all 3 pair done by the end of the month.

For Goal number three...for me is a harder one. Limiting my internet time. To often I go on pintrest or other sites and get absorbed in so many things to do and learn. I need to pick a few things I want to "check" (like email etc) and once I am done with that remove myself from this trance that overcomes me. (see goal number 1 from the "Everybody Matters" book, not only was I using...in the writers words...a Prayer Pantry, I find I am using the computer as a form of escape, rather than seeking God's comfort and time with HIM)

So...off on another month of goals to meet....

great goals.. I just posted mine for the month. It was hard to pick 3 new ones :) I'm glad you liked the book. It was powerful and really helped me change my views on WHY I am exercising and getting healthy!
