Love it when a year starts off right....

Yesterday my mom went to a thrift store and found a bunch of stamps for me. I don't do a lot of things with them, but do like to have a variety as I try to get more creative with the scrapbook I keep for the kids. She told me about some more that they had so I ran today to check them out. I found a few stamps that I liked and 6 ink pads with a variety of colors for the kids and I to play with.

THEN...to often when the kids and I head somewhere, I end up becoming their pack mule...enough says I. I found some nylon drawstring backpacks for $1 ea so they can now each carry their own water/chapstick etc. The princess already tends to carry a purse quite a lot but this will be better for daytrips.

THEN.. In June of last year I had left my laptop up and running while we went to church and there was a power flux/outage. When I got home, the laptop would not work, I figured I had blown it. My beloved (knowing that I use it a lot for schoolwork for the kids) went and got me a desktop a couple of days later, we put the laptop up and really hadn't thought about it. My daughter (my techie geek daughter who often fixes my computer problems) suggested it might just be the power supply...found one on amazon for 30...and now my laptop is back...I lost docs but I can live with that!!!

Gosh I love it when things start coming together.....I want to take this on our vacation in May (God willing) as I want to journal each day in detail. I did this when I took my daughter at 15 and my nephews down to San Diego and found that this is one thing they treasure...
