Just plain funny

My mom was out of town for about 10 days. She went to see my brother, and while she was gone I went down to her house twice a day to feed her cats. This is a biggy for me as I am skittish around one of her cats as each time he has scratched my skin I have ended up at the dr. within an hour with massive infections. He never means to but just seems to hit me just right.

One night as I was walking back this aroma swept through the air, skunk...took a different route home.

The next night after I had been down at moms, kids tucked in bed and I was reviewing the kids school work when I hear the hooting of an owl. A huge owl sat on my lappost. I heard a rustling out of the living room window and figured it was a cat or something along that line. I was grateful to see this beautiful bird and watched it until it flew off.

The night after that, I was walking home, darkness had set in. Usually I head around to the back door, and see motion under the deck. I thought the skunk was back so I made a beeline to the front door, telling my beloved I think our stinky visitor is back. He grabbed a flashlight to remove the intruder. He was gone for quite a while, so I went to check on him. He saw no sign of it.

Near my back door, we have raspberry bushes growing. As my beloved started up the stairs he noticed a rustling in the brush. He looked and for the first time in almost 20 years of living hear, I see a porcupine. I ran and got the kids out of bed and we watched him as he waddled off into the trees.

Thank you Lord, for sharing your creatures in a way that we could enjoy them.
