First Day of Coop

Our co-op started yesterday...it was an enthusiastic fun day!
We run from 8:48 to 2:00, the kids are doing Hands on Science and History projects, as well as literature studies.

My oldest to are in Upper Grammar group while the youngest is in Lower Grammar. All three are ready to do this every day! How's that for excitement.

They all came out excited about their classes, even the oldest who usually struggles to maintain interest in educational reading came home and got right into his literature work! He read 4 chapters and filled in a "comprehension worksheet". For his writing assignments he will be able to do them on the computer since he struggles still with forming letters and that actually slows down his thinking process.

The princess has already started on a paragraph assigned to her, she has to write about what country she would like to visit and why.

The youngest does not have any writting assignments for this year, but loves the story. For next Monday he has to bring in a hobby and has already decided that he will bring in one of his lego projects.

They all loved the science and history lessons and look forward to filling in their books as time passes.

We have to leave about 45 minutes early to get there on time, I was in the shower and when I came out all three were dressed and ready with over 1/2 hour to spare. The oldest was even in the van waiting.

At lunch we let them go outside to play, the youngest got stung by a wasp, not once, but twice, so that was not so good.

I just hope the little ones have this much excitement in a few months!
