Many years later this has migrated to my house. I think it is one of my favorite Christmas ornaments...the kids love the lollipops as well.
This year I had the kids make some of these snowflakes. They are incredibly easy and the kids liked working on them together. We have them hanging now in lieu of a traditonal wreath and they are lovely! We are making a variety of traditional snowflakes that will be hung on our picture window...the kids are so enjoying this.
They have also made some coasters for other family members as small gifts, they are making other little projects for their mom as well.
My princess will get her hand at cake decorating this week as we celebrate her mom's birthday on Christmas Eve. She is going to try to do a very simple cake with a heart on it. I cant wait to see how she does.
In the meantime. Tomorrow is our martial arts day, then we can stay home to wrap things up for Christmas...
We are repeating what we did last year, our big meal together will be Christmas Eve, then we can break out some games. Christmas day will be get what you want out of the fridge cuz we aint cooking! day. We will play, talk, laugh and just enjoy the day with family.
....for the first time since my dad died, I can honestly say I am looking forward to Christmas.
