Just before thanksgiving, my daughter was going to the doctor. There was a variety of symptoms that she needed to have checked out, from exhaustion to being cold all the time, to unexplained weight gain to list a few among many.
The doctor ordered an MRI and found that her uterus is heart shaped (to funny...I always told her her heart was in the wrong place!) and that she should never have been able to carry children....but thanks to the diligence of the doctor, she saw that this was not the cause of what my daughter was going through...so the doctor ordered a thyroid test.
My daughters father's family have had problems with hypoactive thyroid and the doc found that this is the cause of all the underlying syptoms, so she was started on a synthetic tyroid med.
Already she is so much happier and well rested. Nice to hear her laugh again!
Then there is our old dog. She has been our companion for 17 years as of yesterday. And she is showing her age. Last Wednesday my beloved took her to the vet and we really did not think she would be coming home. However, she now is laying at my feet, with new medicines to help her arthritic back. In my selfishness I am not ready to say goodbye.
